Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2008 Collection

Fun, flirty, flowing, flimsy… those words came to mind when I saw Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2008 Collection. Feast your eyes on the refreshing colors, of spring…

The collection is made up mostly of form-fitting dresses, with shades of ecru, mocha, baby blue, and of course black (which is never out of season). You can translate this trends into form-fitting dresses made of flowy material that you can use for more formal occasions.
For day wear, you can adapt the soft colors to flowy tops and blouses paired with loose slacks or form-fitting (or skinny) jeans.

You can also use the large collars to add accent to otherwise boring clothes.

Notice that the dresses are either above the knee or almost floor length. There’s no in between for this collection.

While, spring brings to mind colors, pastels or brights, white accented with black never goes out of style. It also gives a nice, refreshing contrast to the colors of spring.

Flowy, shiny metallic are also here to stay to give that sleek look that goes against the soft shades of spring.

Close-toed heels with sexy straps are also in vogue. These shoes maybe worn, not just with your dressy outfits, but also with your pants and slacks.

This spring, there’s no need to shop for new things to get the Lhuillier look. Just raid your own closet, and pick out the things that echo the styles and trends of this spring.
