Cleaning and Organizing Stuff

My landlady was very, very, very nice to clean up my room for me. And now I have the urge to be obsessive compulsive (OC) about my stuff and how I organize them. So in the past week, I have been buying plastic containers, hangers, a hamper, and even a new garbage can. I have also been cleaning out my old storage units — plastic drawers, containers, baskets — so I can organize my things better.

In the process of cleaning up, I realized that I own too many bags and shoes that I don’t use anymore. And since I have lost some weight (but gained a few back already), I am now the owner of a big box of clothes that don’t fit me anymore.

So in the next few weeks, I’ll be hauling off my thing clothes to the laundry shop, and labeling them for my annual garage sale. I will also be cleaning my bags, and while it’s saddens me to say good bye to most of them, I have to. :( And my shoes, well, their no Manolos but still… I’m saaad to say goodbye to some of them.

I still have to buy more containers to organize my stuff better. I realize I’ve been storing some of my clothes in the laundry shop’s bag since I can’t fit them in my closet anymore. LOL! I also have to buy containers for my books, my precious beloved books! And for my magazines. I look forward to visiting the local department stores and home improvement stores. I got such a kick out of buying a hamper for only P149.00 yesterday. LOL! I enjoy this kind of practical shopping, it is virtually guilt-free. This is like shopping for books or groceries… I ENJOY!!!

Hopefully, I can maintain this OC-ness for a long time, or at least until I move to my new dorm. :)
