A Tip for Online Sellers
I’ve been happy with most of the Multiply sellers I have dealt with. And to show my appreciation I have added them to list of Trusted Multiply Sellers. I have also featured some of them here and I plan to feature more of them soon.
But I’ve had a recent encounter with a seller whom I wouldn’t name or link because I don’t want to. The seller was arrogant, and wasn’t nice at all.
I contacted the seller via SMS because he/she told me to do so. This was our initial exchange:
(Thursday evening)
Ria: Hi! I would like reserve 1 (item name) to be shipped to Davao City. I will be paying via GCash, is that ok with you?
Seller: Name please? Ok dear. ALL shipping will be done on Monday. Ok? PhP300 + 80.
Ria: I’m Ria. Will it fit (my size)?
Seller: Yup, one size fits all. Name please? Reserved one for you…
Ria: Maria A. Jose. What’s your GCash details please?
Seller: (Name, Address, GCash number)
Then, I immediately sent my payment.
Ria: I already sent my payment.
Seller: Ok, got it. Will ship on Monday via Air 21.
Ria: Ok, thank you! Please text me my tracking number once you’ve sent it. If all goes well, I’ll include you in my list of Trusted Multiply Sellers at (URL) ![]()
Seller: Don’t worry dear. Im a trusted seller.. will text you trackingnum on Monday…
Ria: Ok, thanks!
Monday after lunch…
Ria: Hi! Will you be sending my order today? Please send me the tracking number if it has been sent.
Seller: I ship once paid dear.. if you pay today mahahabol ka pa.
Ria: I already paid via GCash last week.
Seller: Yup got it shipping will be today. Text you the tracking number later.
OHHHHKAY! So the seller wasn’t exactly rude. But he also wasn’t nice and warm. Yeah, maybe I’ve been spoiled by other sellers who were super nice even before I told them I had a shopping blog. Maybe I expected too much.
If you are a seller, it is an absolute must for you to treat your customers/clients nicely. And yeah, it pissed me off that he condescendingly told me he/she’d ship my order once I’ve paid. DUH! Other sellers ship me their items on the day I pay. I paid Thursday, and I didn’t even bother him on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was the day he promised he/she’d ship, so I was just politely following up on him/her, and he/she replied that way. Definitely not a good way to treat any customer/client.
So what’s my tip to online sellers: BE NICE!
No matter how cheap and nice your products are, if you treat your clients rudely, you will not prosper. At least not for me.

Yeah! I agree!
I have friends who sell online also, and actually, if the customer is rude, the seller has a right to be rude too! Hehehe! Bottomline, let’s all be nice.

I agree with you. I have encountered a seller like this before, so rude and doesn’t have any decency to update their customers about the package. They said they have CSR but those people are useless as well. That was my first time to buy something big and pricey online so I was paranoid that they might be a bogus seller.
